Amazon.com is one that has more prestige, according to a study by the Reputation Institute. The worst is Freddie Mac, the mortgage firm, which had to be rescued by the government in financial crisis



A product and is not synonymous with prestige. Involves much more. It is a delicate balance between power and influence with a brand. And despretigio now also has to do with the bad image of a CEO, a pollution problem or bad financial results.

Reputation Institute conducted the study to 32,946 U.S. consumers. Asked their perception about 150 companies.

Amazon, the online shopping site was the big winner. The interviewees highlighted their strength in what is selling books online and development of the ebook, the Kindle.

Followed Kraft Foods and Johnson & Johnson came in third. The firm ranked fourth 3M through its constant innovation and good financial results.

The list of the top 10 is completed by FedEx, Kellogg 's, Sara Lee and Google.

On the negative path many companies are rescued by the U.S. Treasury, with taxpayer money, in full 2008 financial crisis.

At the top Freddie Mac, the mortgage firm. Followed by the insurance firm AIG and Fannie Mae.

Another financial firm that is not immune from the crisis emerged, the bank Goldman Sachs, ranked fourth less beloved by Americans. The list was completed with more banks, U.S. Bancorp, JPMorgan Chase, Citigroup and Morgan Stanley.
