Andrew Loomis Drawing the human body to learn to draw drawing technique
William Andrew Loomis (1892, Syracuse, New York - 1959) was a U.S. illustrator.
Born in New York, but spent most of his life working in Chicago. He was a student of George Bridgman 's as a young man. He's remembered now for a number of books on art education continues to influence artists realistic, but now (in 2010) all out of print, except for some extracts available in the art publisher Walter Foster. The Loomis family, which still retain the copyright to all published books by Andrew Loomis, expressed no intention to print any of his work on [citation recent days needed] despite popular demand. Some of his books are being published in Japanese through Maar Sha Co., Ltd.
