The McCanns published a book about the disappearance of their daughter Madeleine

The parents of Madeleine McCann, the British girl who disappeared in the Algarve in Portugal in 2007, published a book written by them in which will the case of her daughter and the profits from sales will go to fund their search, as announced the editorial "Transworld".

Kate and Gerry McCann reached an agreement with the above editorial in which it pledged to give his version of the disappearance of her young when spending the summer in an apartment in the Portuguese town of Praia Da Luz.

All money raised from the sale of the book will be donated to the foundation created to find Kate and Gerry to "Maddie", a native of Rothley, in the English county of Leicestershire.

The official inquiry into the case being carried out by Portuguese police was closed in July 2008 and since then, the McCanns hired private detectives to continue the search for her daughter who was turning four years old when disappeared.

The book, entitled "Madeleine" will be published on 28 April, coinciding with the fourth anniversary of his disappearance.

Kate McCann said his "reason" for writing the book was to give his own "version of the truth."

"Publishing this book has been a difficult decision and was taken after much deliberation," admitted the mother of Maddie, who further explained that in recent months the funds that supported the search for the little girl was running out.

"Every penny raised through sales will be invested in our search for Madeleine. For us there is nothing more important to find our little girl," said Kate McCann.

For his part, Gerry McCann said the couple hoped to induce the release of the book "to those who have information relevant to share it with our team. Anyone have that key piece of the puzzle."

The publisher Transworld has acquired the rights to publish the book in the United Kingdom and the rest of Europe and the Commonwealth countries.
