Director Mike Newell will direct "Great Expectations"
Director Mike Newell director of the fourth part of Harry Potter and the Goblet of Hellfire recently "Prince of Persia: The Sands of Time" is ready to lead a new version of the book by Charles Dickens "Great Expectations", which is expected be launched next year and whose storyline takes place from Christmas Eve 1812, when the protagonist has only seven years old, until the winter of 1840.


Great Expectations (Great Expectations) is a novel by Charles Dickens. At first it was published as a serial in All the Year Round [1] from December 1, 1860 until August 1861. It is considered one of the largest and most sophisticated novels, as well as one of the most popular, this being adapted to plays and films in over 250 occasions.

The novel is written in a semi-autobiographical and tells the story of the orphan Pip, who describes his life from childhood to maturity trying to become a man of nobility throughout his life. The story can also be considered as a semi-autobiographical of Dickens, like many of his works, which blends their experiences with their social lives.

Each publication in the All the Year Round contained two chapters and was written in such a way that kept the reader interested from week to week, while still satisfying their curiosity at the end of each. The release is expected next year, so far no news of the deal.
