U.S. closes 70 websites fulminant P2P links

Arguing for the prosecution of piracy on the Net, the U.S. government has closed 70 websites containing links to files circulating on P2P networks like BitTorrent. The prosecution put forward by the U.S. administration is based on the collaboration of these websites at the time of "infringing the intellectual property."

Coinciding with the imminent signing of ACTA (Anti-Counterfeiting Trade Agreement) in which the U.S. government has been one of its promoters, it hardens the fight against the "piracy." Although some of the websites on which a court order has been carried out to kidnap other domains were related to the smuggling of goods, others were simple search engines that allow access to shared files on the Web

Such is the case of Torrent-Finder, whose owner said on the website collects Torrentfreak.com as elmundo.es, how your site was closed "with no previous complaints or notices of any court." It is one of the 70 affected in the latest anti-piracy campaign, which has been placed on the home pages of websites suspected culprits a notice announcing the seizure of the site by the Department of Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) country.

From the U.S. cultural industry has welcomed the coup. "American businesses are under assault from counterfeiters and pirates all day, seven days a week," he said at the time one of the managers of the Department. "Criminals are stealing the ideas and American products and distributing them online," he said.

However, it is still dangerous this partnership file sharing and posting links to a case such as the smuggling of products and business. The Google search engine, without a doubt one of the leaders of the Internet, said that the links on the Web do not constitute a criminal practice. In fact, they are the essence of the Internet as a few months ago sentenced a Spanish judge. There seem to communicate with these ideas their U.S. counterparts, where the fight against "piracy" seems to be above these rights.

The event has a Facebook group (International Day Burn Koran) that in recent days was filled with threats and xenophobic comments cross between supporters and critics of the initiative, and visitors of different faiths.
