comes "The Dark Tower: A long way home"

stephen king dark tower Dark Tower Comics

In the United States on Wednesday March 5th, at midnight, Marvel will release the second narrative line adaptation of the comic book series by Stephen King, "The Dark Tower."

The first line was "The Gunslinger Born", narrating the first steps of the gunslinger Roland Deschain of Gilead in the kingdom. "A Long Road Home" picks up where the first left. King himself is overseeing the graphic novel version, which is writer Peter David and Robin Furth. More news and art can be found in Dark Tower.

There you can access, among other things, a gallery of covers of "The Gunslinger Born", by artist Jae Lee. For those who read in English, also available online a chapter to read comics.

The Dome of Stephen King as miniseries

The Dome, one of the latest novel by Stephen King, will be adapted for the small screen thanks to DreamWorks TV and Steven Spielberg himself in production. At the moment we do not know how many episodes the form, only that Michael Green (Green Lantern) is in charge of the script.

The book tells how a quiet autumn day in the city of Chester's Mill is inexplicable and suddenly cut off from the world by an invisible force field. Planes crash and fall from the sky consumed in flames, people running aimlessly through the neighboring town to be separated from their families and cars explode on impact with the invisible wall. No one gets to understand what the nature of the barrier, or provenance, or how he got there, or if they ever go away ... Barbara Dale, a disillusioned veteran of the Gulf War turned into a mediocre cook, Julia Shumway, director of the local newspaper and a group of teenage skateboarders fight to uncover the mystery of the dome. However, on the other side are the great Jim Rennie, Mayor of Chester's Mill, a corrupt and ruthless man willing to do anything to take the reins of power, and his son, who hides a terrible secret in a dark pantry. But his main adversary is the dome itself. Because time is not infinite. The clock is ticking and inevitably ends ...

'It' and the film Pet Sematary! NEW!

Pet Sematary screenwriter David Kajganich

David Kajganich: A PURPOSE OF IT AND Pet Sematary

THE WRITER OF TWO ADAPTATIONS

STEPHEN KING Film

SPEAKING OF THE STATUS OF BOTH PROJECTS.

About Pet Sematary

"After delivering my first draft, Paramount faced a regime change at the highest level and put me in contact with a new executive who had creative ideas that could not support."

"They wanted to seek the approval of a younger audience, for it sought to change the main character, Ellie, and make it a teenager, and so on. It was heartbreaking, but it's what happens sometimes. The studio was nice enough to let me break my contrtato and the project has remained dormant until recently. "

About IT

"The big difference to the mini-series, is that here there are two thirds of the available time on TV. I know it sounds serious, but two thirds of the footage does not mean, necessarily, two-thirds of the story."

"I'm looking for as many ways as I can to make some further sequence is redundant to others. To me, this process is very interesting because it has the effect of enhancing the whole."

"But surprises can lead to dramatic narrative development. Some crucial scenes I thought, have been eliminated. And others that seem trivial in the book, ended up being key to the film. I know I'm being vague, but I can not say much More on this point and getting into the specifics, because we have a lot of development on the way. For now, I'll just say we're jumping the fence and that we mean business. "
