According to an American engineer with extensive experience in apocalyptic prophecies said that the universe will end on May 21 this year.



The former civil engineer Harold Camping, who has studied the Bible for nearly 70 years, rejects the Mayan prophecies and apocalyptic offers its own timetable. Among his awards are a very important: this is not the first time that predicts the end of the world.

In its 88 years, and nearly 70 to study the Bible, swearing to have developed a mathematical system to interpret hidden prophecies in the sacred text. Camping is convinced that the actual date for the end of time is 2011. "More precisely, the May 21, 2011," he says.

This is not the first time doing this kind of predictions. Former member of the Baptist church, Camping now has his own ministry. In 1992, he published a book which predicted the Second Coming of Christ happen in September of that year. Nothing happened.

But a year later he published the sequel: "Are you ready?". And the September 6, 1994, dozens of supporters dressed in their finery gathered to watch the sky, awaiting the return of Christ.

As is publicly known, the world keeps spinning. Then, Camping accepted he may have committed a mathematical error. And spent the next ten years working on new calculations.

His station broadcasts to China, Central America and his disciples out pamphlets, books and T-shirts with the date "May 21, 2011" in each place where they preach the word.
