It has to do with FTA DTT

It has to do with FTA DTT

FTA DTT digital terrestrial television DVB-T digital satellite television

Here I leave a book about the near future of digital television in Argentina.

http://www.mediafire.com/?dn5eznzyy5y

DTT (digital terrestrial television) has much to do with FTA , digital satellite television (TDS) to the standard Freeview is DVB-T and DVB-S satellite is and there are many decos that are compatible with both standards. bad (for me) is that the rules chosen for Argentina is the Japanese ISDB-T with which our satellite receivers are not compatible.

An example of a receiver that is compatible with DVB-S and DVB-T, plus also includes the option DVB-C (digital cable television) receiver is the

Dreambox 800 HD

This unit also provides the ability to watch free satellite tv, also view digital terrestrial television, and the option of digital cable.

For there they say they chose this standard because it can be seen in the cellular digital TV, DVB-T but also already included in the cell, but believe check this out.

well I hope that this post generated comments and opinions on DTT.

The only treatment of the sliding tax in Congress do not conform to the rural producers are already preparing to mobilize the city of Buenos Aires. The pressure for new measures of protest arises from the bases and implications for the leadership of the entities.

The agricultural leadership seeks a show of force similar to that carried out the May 25 event at the Monument to the Flag. The issue began to be discussed into the Liaison Committee yesterday at the Rural Society.

"We have to get 300,000 people," a source told the daily La Nacion entities. The march would be the same day that the Senate treats the tax plan. The seats of Mayo and de los Dos Congresos destinations would be dismissed as to avoid clashes with militants Kirchner. The venue will be the forests of Palermo.

Paperless newspaper

Paper books may have days, we did not know is that possibly the newspapers too, and not by reading through a computer, but by a new electronic device which will receive all the news of the day.

This new journal is the size of a sheet of paper and so light and thin as a magazine and internet can download hundreds of different newspapers in which we spend the leaves with the touch of a button. The prototype screen measures 33 inches diagonally.

Obviously, from the environmental standpoint is a good step as well be prepared to endure bad weather and bad treatment, since both the screen as the internal electronic parts are made of plastic.

"That's why the newspaper is so light, flexible and revolutionary," said Dean Baker, the British designer of the Plastic Logic factory which is producing the newspaper.

It is expected that the new electronic journal is on sale next year, Plastic Logic will reveal its price in January 2009.

New prototype of the "internet tablet" of
TechCrunch

A tablet that serves only to read news and check email. It may sound silly now having many cost laptops to choose from but if you want a decent screen and nothing more, just enough for you the new product being developed by Michael Arrington (founder of TechCrunch) and Louis Monier (founder / ex-chief Altavista technology).

His "CrunchPad" (which is now in the second prototype) integrates a 12-inch touch screen and 4:3 (1024 x 768), with a VIA Nano processor moving the issue in collaboration with 1 GB of RAM, 4 GB memory flash and a 4-cell battery. The WiFi chipset will inevitably connect to the network of networks from the cafeteria, while the integrated webcam adds the ability to connect with friends via video (or upgrade your album on Facebook, as you see).

By using low cost components and the invaluable help of Ubuntu, expect to get a production cost of 200 dollars (152 euros al cambio), with the intention of selling the final model for about $ 300 (229 euros). So when the time comes, because for now we still are a little green. Got a video after the jump.

Google has one month to renegotiate the agreement on U.S. eBooks

* We have rejected the current terms of the agreement.
* Google should provide an approach that eliminates the concerns expressed by the authorities
U.S..

Google has just over a month to change the terms of the agreement with U.S. authors and publishers to capture the digital rights to millions of books and offer them via the Internet.

During a court hearing in New York, Federal Judge Denny Chin called on both sides to present the 9th of November a revised agreement on the pact in October 2008 between Google and two groups of authors and U.S. publishers.

The agreement creates significant legal concerns

Both parties then closed a deal of 125 million dollars (85.1 million euros) that Google is doing with the digital rights to millions of works to be able to offer through Internet e-book formats and audio-books and reciprocated by publishers and authors to 63% of the profits from it.

This agreement, widely criticized from different sectors of industry, was brought to court last month by the U.S. Justice Department, along with officials from five states, since it would violate antitrust law.

According to the Department of Justice, the agreement "creates significant legal concerns, including the fact that Google is profiting from the digitization of print books and their authors have not claimed rights over a period of five years.

Last September, five organizations representing publishers, libraries, and European authors filed a similar complaint to the European Commission.

At the hearing this week, Judge Chin rejected the current terms of the agreement and asked to renegotiate so that the removal of the concerns expressed by U.S. officials, something that both parties relied on to achieve for the hearing on 9 November.

Personal Opinion: It is logical that the negotiation is complicated because so much money at stake. As Justice Dept. says, Google wants to make money even with the print books in the public domain or will have to see how we have addressed that.

What I'm sure of is that at the end Google will digitize these books because he knows that will bring many benefits.

Basile, who had her last experience as coach at Boca Juniors in the 2009-2010 season, acknowledged that "in June I am heading in my country."

Political profile books dominate sales in Argentina in an election year
.

The political profile books dominate the list of sales in Argentina, featuring works by a former Minister of Economy and Chief of Staff at the top of the libraries of the country, which will hold general elections next October, Efe reported industry sources .
Economics 3d, the former Minister of Economy of Argentina Martín Lousteau, leads the list this week, followed by "El Flaco", a book by philosopher José Pablo Feinmann based on "profane dialogue" with the late former President Nestor Kirchner, husband of President Cristina Fernandez.
In third place is "Zonceras Argentine and other plants," the first book of the chief of staff, Aníbal Fernández, spokesmen stated Ilhsa Group, which manages the bookstore chains Yenny and El Ateneo.
Lousteau last week unveiled its new text in the Book Fair of Buenos Aires in the middle of a crowd of attendees, including many journalists, who not only consulted the former official on the book, but also for his alleged romance with actress Juana Viale , pregnant Chilean Gonzalo Valenzuela.
The presentation was made amid the uproar over the video released by gossip showing Lousteau Viale and kissing in a vehicle.
For its part, Feinmann seeks to portray in "El Flaco" as Kirchner called the "privacy and the thought of a hundred percent political man, hard to know", as was the exmandatario (2003-2007), who died in last October from a heart attack, says the synopsis of the book.
The text recreates the relationship "very particular, trust and sincerity" established between Kirchner and Feinmann, whom the president consulted several times, but who broke away in 2006 because the leader of the ruling Peronist Party (PJ, Peronist) claimed the thinker greater commitment to "the collective project" that he headed.
Meanwhile, Anibal Fernandez's book is inspired by the "Manual zonceras (nonsense) Argentina, which in 1968 published the late writer Arturo Jauretche, whom Peron Cristina Fernandez and members of his Cabinet often praise.
In fact, the book features a foreword by the president, who described the text as a "mixture of street and non-formal learning" resulting in a product "good, interesting ... and some sailed (bold) like Hannibal. "
The text questions the media criticism of the country, with which the Government is faced, and defined as "highly damaging" to soy, one of the main crops exported by Argentina, among other claims.

A scandal has broken out in China by selling erotic version of Snow White on the shelves for children.

According to the newspaper "Corriere della Sera it was all a confusion of the Editors China China Friendship Publishing Company and Time Media, which, in its zeal to bring Chinese children to the West's most famous stories, or print a version Cárdenas in which White has sex with his father and the Seven Dwarfs.

"We do not go looking for the original edition in German of the Brothers Grimm. We decided some issues and we translate Japanese," said Mr. Yuan, representative of China Media Time, who also said they commissioned to translate the text of Kiryu Misao, a pair of Japanese cartoonists are adult versions of the most famous stories.

According to Mr. Yuan, the translators had no idea of the blunder and that once written in Chinese were sent to their customers and for a few days remained available in the children's shelves of some libraries.
In this version, after eating the poisoned apple, Snow White is in a state of apparent death and the only thing that can wake is the presence of a necrophiliac prince.

Mr. Yuan said that neither version came at the hands of children as they walked out of the library immediately after the error was detected.

A developer of Gallium free graphics library of VMWare has announced the implementation of Direct3D layer natively on Linux. A medium that can open a new way for implementation of video games in Linux because it is not a conversion between Microsoft multimedia libraries and OpenGL as currently performed Wine, but 'd3d1x' (that's the name this library) is run natively communicate directly with the graphics driver and hardware.

Thanks to the architecture of Gallium, this will support Direct3D "free for all Linux drivers with little or no effort" and that could be implemented "with a thin layer on Gallium instead of the huge amount of code needed for OpenGL" Luca Barbieri explains the developer.

Wine is obviously also a major benefit by taking advantage of this implementation because it does not need OpenGL, and direct conversion to provide it with support for DirectX 11 API, which currently does not possess and that is simple to implement as advertised, as well as drivers Manufacturers of graphics such as NVIDIA Nouveau already using Gallium libraries.

For the future, Barbieri, commitment to provide a superior alternative to OpenGL and graphics programming in non-Windows, thanks to the implementation made from scratch that despite its early development stage and can run some demos in DirectX 10/11 Linux.

"Next-generation games to run natively and seamlessly on Linux? It seems that the dream can be fulfilled. By the way, do not know how Microsoft will drop the news. Media like Slashdot and called the news with a suggestive "DX11 comes to Linux (but not Windows XP)" in allusion to the lack of support from the API to the ancient but still widely used system, wondering if Linux will support this API soon Microsoft's better than Microsoft itself. 1 million free eBooks

I am among those who think that electronic books have a great future, but it is still early. Readers are expensive (eg, the last of Sony worth $ 400) and have very specific functions, and in addition we also have the problem of the books themselves: Where to buy? There is no catalog as such, at least not in Spain.

Regarding the latter problem, the giant Google has just taken a blow on the table. Has begun offering a million free e-books, all EPUB format (an alternative to PDF, compatible with almost all readers of the market) and accessible through its search engine: Google Books.

Within a million books that you can find all kinds of titles, and of course all the categories and themes. To download the book have gotten really simple: go to the Google Book Search and, if the book you can see the option in the upper right corner.

Google Books

Obviously there are many books that are not available for download, which is a shame, because Google does not even offer the possibility of acquiring them. It is possible that seeing the effort they are putting to create a massive online library, is the next step: an electronic book store Google's hand. And if prices are affordable, safe to be successful.

Also be taken into account the ease (or difficulty) to download books directly from the reader, and that there are many models that incorporate wireless connectivity. For now it seems to be impossible, since these devices do not incorporate a web browser, although perhaps in the future or unique applications are implemented, why not, a full web browser and take advantage of wireless connectivity (which are starting to deploy 3G pretty fast).

Great technology unite against Google Books

Microsoft, Yahoo and Amazon plan to join the Open Book Alliance coalition, which opposes the agreement signed by Google and U.S. publishers and authors to scan books, saying it was a "threat to the competitiveness of the market."

Google Book Search, the book digitization project of Google, one of the most ambitious of the company, still in the thick of things despite the October 2008 agreement with publishers and copyright organizations U.S., after placing Google on the table the dollars needed to end the conflict.

This agreement is under review by a U.S. federal court and is also being investigated by the European Commission following a complaint from different personalities in German culture that accuse Google of violating intellectual property and "The Pirate Bay to be the cultural" .

On the other hand, the Open Content Alliance, a group claiming to seek "to build a comprehensive digital archive of books access" has been formed as an alliance against Google Book now and reportedly reinforced with mighty knights travel, but no less curious union of some of them to an organization as "open" and a laudable goal in theory.

The Google project (also on paper) is fantastic, by providing global Internet culture digitized at a distance of a single click. Free or low price you can buy or borrow digital books on the Web, some of whom are not even available in print.

It is true that a project of such magnitude entails legal implications, privacy monopolistic or relevant authorities should discuss and deal with, but it is also true that in that alliance against Books, mostly they want to slice out the project (which Google pays greater quantities by copyright) and other control prevent the course of a growing sector, especially after the advent of e-book readers like the Kindle.

We'll see how it ends the case. Meanwhile, Google is digitizing and improving the project.

Saturday, May 15, 9:45 a.m.
MEXICO CITY, May 15 (EL UNIVERSAL) .- Considered by NASA as an indecipherable text, written perhaps by a joker of the fifteenth century, the Voynich manuscript as it is known, has meant a headache for the best linguists and cryptography specialists of all time, who could not understand even one of the words in the 240 pages of the mysterious codex.

(ADVERTISING)

The ancient text has no known title or author known and is written in an unknown language: What counts and why have so many illustrations in astronomy? The mysterious book was once bought by an emperor, forgotten on a library shelf, sold for thousands of dollars and then donated to Yale University.

The volume is now known as the Voynich manuscript, named after the ancient books specialist Wilfrid M.

Voynich, was acquired by the scholar in 1912 and subsequently donated it to Yale University, where he is currently in the library of rare books and manuscripts.

In the book there seems to be related somehow to the Sun

The book lists some areas of the sky with constellations unknown.

The book includes drawings of constellations ever recorded in any ancient culture, with annotations in writing not related to any known language.

In the astronomy section you can see pie charts, some of which contain suns, moons and stars that could be also astrological symbols.

There are 12 diagrams in the manuscript known symbols for the zodiac constellations, in which each is surrounded by figures of 30 women in almost all nude thumbnail.

Two symbols, representing Aquarius and Capricorn, have gone astray.

The symbols of Aries and Taurus, in turn, are surrounded only by 15 female figures.

The inability of current historians of astronomy to understand the origins of these constellations may then dwarf the current inability of crackers to understand the text of the book.

That's why NASA has requested assistance from the general public to decipher the mysterious writing on a forum created specially for this purpose called The Mysterious Voynich manuscript.

The book itself remains in the rare books library at Yale under the catalog number "MS 408"

NEW YORK (AP) - Sales figures who had mysteriously vanished from the lists of most successful books from Amazon.com are reappearing on the famous online shop.

Two days after Amazon said a technical problem had brought down the ranks of selling thousands of books, the figures revived on Tuesday for "Brokeback Mountain" by Annie Proulx, "Giovanni 's Room" by James Baldwin and other featured titles.

Some authors whose ranks declined Amazon received messages informing them that their books had been included in the category for "Adult" and were removed from some lists of best sellers and online search functions. Amazon measures provoked a flood of angry responses on social networking sites like Twitter and other channels.

Amazon on Monday described the amendments as "shameful" and blamed "a clumsy error classification" and promised further action to prevent them in the future.

The company's online retail sales on Sunday blamed a technical error and promised that the correct figures would be replaced, but until Monday afternoon, the sales figures still conspicuous by their absence to recent works like "My Horizontal Life "Chelsea Handler and such classics as" The City and the Pillar "by Gore Vidal.

"What is it child's play?" Complained Vidal on Monday. "Why not burn the books instead? Would be better and would be very attractive for television," he added.

On Monday, Amazon spokesman Andrew Herdener said the deletions were a shame and a stupid mistake "for a company that prides itself on offering a complete selection." She said they had been affected more than 57.310 books in various categories.

The authors strongly questioned the explanation of Amazon. The "technical problem" dates from at least February, when Craig Seymour said he had deleted the range of his book "All I Could Bare." He added that he was reinstated a few weeks later.

Among the books are concerned academics and cryptic as well as celebrities.

REFLECTION:

The fifteenth century American continent had a diversity of native communities, which were characterized by well-organized life forms. From a social system based on hierarchical stratification of the population, mostly politically focused on a single authority, but the most striking aspect of these communities was its economic structure and function with others. Each community had its own territory, demarcated and protected by armies. Farming systems had very complex and diverse, which means from the compression of belonging to the natural space around them, this is due to their advanced systems of dikes and canals for irrigation and personal use, large quarries stepped on slopes, the divine gods associated with fertility and prosperity of their land. Thus understood very well that any human influence on nature, also fell one way or another about them. Most of the relationship between these communities and the physical space was total respect and harmony. Cultural systems within the organization of these societies were very important, kinship and identity were within the ideological structure bond strength and elemental push to bring out the progress of these communities.
Economically, its relations of production allowed to see the purchase and sale system, where each community produced a number of products, depending on the situation of their land. Thus, profits could be redistributed among all members of the community as a kind of self-sufficiency, or exchange goods as a form of barter. Although the most interesting and complex occurred in the great empires, as these can provide an overview of the geographical space colonization, which is understood in the wide expanses and amount of small communities subject to them. Where each community was required to exploit the land and give their earnings to the empire, in exchange for security and belonging to it, a sort of feudal system. But it was the vision of expansion and conquest which formed and mobilized to those companies, leading them to create large, modern human settlement throughout the Americas.
This will lose the idea of Europe as the only source of civilization and the birthplace of all the myths, to present to groups of men forgotten by history, they had their own culture, development and progress.

Thank you very much.
