I give you a story that I found very good and I could not see here.
Steve Langaseck proudly announced in March 1922, which is now possible to install different architecture libraries in the operating system Ubuntu 11.04 (Natty Narwhal) through multiarch.
This is great news for all developers and users of Ubuntu, because it means that the below script is easily configurable to work in a x86_64 environment.
sudo apt-get install flashplugin-installer: i386
"Thanks to everyone who helped us at this stage! We are still far from being able to do this on the desktop, however. Because this command now wants to eliminate a lot of amd64 libraries and replace the i386!
"What is, in fact, the point of this e-mail. There is a set of libraries that have been previously scheduled for multiarch on Natty. But it is clear that there are still many more libraries would have to make the transition to multiarch even before you can start thinking aside ia32-libs libraries of files. " - Steve Langasek said in the e-mail.
"This is * not * an open invitation to convert arbitrary libraries to use multiarch. The movement of libraries throughout the system carries a significant risk of breakage, and should be done with care and a clear understanding the consequences - and a commitment to solve any consequences to not put at risk the beta of the next week. " - Steve Langasek added at the end of the ad.
