There is a difference between a file name, and Tag (tag Mp3 file), which makes it possible to use audio player software like Windows Media Player, Winamp, JetAudio among my favorites, but also in automation systems radio as the wonderful Sam Broadcaster, or ZaraRadio, among others.

To better understand the process of tagging your mp3 audio files, I present the following graph (Figure own) to see how it works:

looks like the process is simple, nothing more that we should understand that one thing is the file name and other IDv3 GAD, which according to Wikipedia's digital library:

"ID3 is a de facto standard to include metadata (tags) in an audiovisual archive file, such as album, title or artist. It is mainly used as MP3 sound files."

in this second image shows the program's role mp3Tag, which allows you to edit fields such as artist, album, title, genre, etc, and even encrypt the cover or title page of the artist to visualize it in audio players.
