released 11th book to participate again organized a massive release of books
The Colombian writer Fernando Vallejo in Spain has just published his latest book, "The Whore of Babylon", which lashes out mercilessly against the Catholic Church, which he considered "a criminal enterprise disguised as religion."
On the occasion of the publication of his book by Seix-Barral, Vallejo, who has lived for years in Mexico, responded in writing to questions of Efe on the arguments presented in this work, which cost "something" about two years Research aided by the Internet search engines.
"At the touch of a button," says Vallejo, the Internet offers "a stream of information that previously would have cost us grouting a life."
"The Whore of Babylon" is a book that Vallejo wanted to "collect accounts receivable" to the church and gave him a volley of a hundred adjectives such as "inquisitive", "heritage hunter," "deceitful," "obscurantist" or "impostor."
Over 317 pages, Colombian writer-who is known for his stand against the procreation and its stubborn defense of animals, relates the "voluminous summary of crimes" committed by the popes, from Innocent III to John Paul II , persecutions and murders of the Inquisition.
With his usual relentless prose, Vallejo refers to documents placed in doubt the inaccuracies and inconsistencies of the Gospels, "which he says are the novels: lies, fantasy, imagination, fiction, invention."
All information about these events "is at hand, in libraries and the Internet, but not so blind as those who will not see," says the writer, who in 2001 announced he would not return to Spain while will require an entry visa for Colombian citizens.
Asked about the arguments used for all these extremes excolocar, Vallejo ensures that only during the 26 years of the pontificate of John Paul II the world population increased from 4,300 million to 6,500 million.
"No one like him, with his irresponsible preaching against birth control, is as guilty of this increase. We've never been so on the brink of disaster," says the writer.
Vallejo remember how last week the secretary of the Pontifical Council for Migrants, Agostino Marchetto, reported that about a thousand million people are homeless and die each day from malnutrition and poor hygiene 50,000 people, mostly women and children in Africa, Asia and Latin America.
Places where "just went about inciting the farrowing Wojtyla," says Vallejo.
The Church is "the primary responsibility of the huge disaster" that is now Latin America, "a continent like Africa so lost," said the Colombian writer.
Vallejo has also published in Spain his works "The desbarrancadero", "My brother, the mayor," "The Lady of the Assassins" or "Darwinian tautology."
