Street markets are very traditional in several European cities. The streets are transformed into long passages of improvised stalls where vendors offer us crafts, clothing, some technology and used books. Today I recommend a fairly large and popular, located in Madrid: El Rastro.

El Rastro flea market is the largest and most popular of the Spanish capital. Located in La Latina (accessible via Metro line 5) takes place every Sunday from early morning till past noon. Crafts, household items, clothing, or simply a memory of Madrid are some things that can be found in the outdoor market that takes place primarily in the calle Ribera de tanners.

It is a good place to get some antiques, old books or magazines, some technology (there are stalls selling spare parts for computers and laptops at a great price) and even some accessories for lovers of photography.

Must take some care with their belongings and it is a mass influx, which is synonymous with opportunity for many pickpockets, but if we avoid going around noon we can save the majority of the public.
