Government helps schools connect cristina notebooks integration plan NetBooks

This year we will launch the second stage of computer education plan that aims to give each student a netbook in the country and convert classrooms into digital environments: a few weeks ago the government closed the tender for the million netbooks that circulate through from here to 2012 and manufacturers were chosen both domestic and foreign capital.

[Img] 2010 ran the first major contract awarded to the company Exo Argentina. By then, the team chosen by the board of Equality Connect through of testing performed by Educ.ar was the Exomate, a variant of Classmate assembled in Buenos Aires, and took charge initially, 1.2 million netbooks after some calculations, and added, ended up being 1.3 million.

For now, the government has delivered about 358,227 of those Exomate in different schools in Argentina. According to official statistics, the first stage of the plan is carried out at 62%, still remaining to finish it delivered 577,175 netbooks. At the same time, the program envisages the development of training teachers to instruct educators in the use of computer tools in the classroom. For example, Intel is one of the companies that are committed to the initiative.

Started in 2011, Connect has secured Equality and netbooks total delivered from here to two years: a few weeks ago closed the tender for 1.5 million netbooks and companies participated in the competition and foreign capital. According to informed sources *** S very close to the companies, there would be nine awarded to this stage and are divided into three distinct layers.

The first layer corresponds to 100% netbooks manufactured abroad, that is, the plan would be importing Equality Connect devices. In this case, the three manufacturers selected were Samsung, Lenovo and Dell. The second group contains companies that assemble locally. The three companies selected were Exo (second time), and San Luis Banghó CORAD. Finally there is the group that produced 100% in the country, from the mother to the assembling process, as is the case of News and BGH, both with plants in Tierra del Fuego.

Given the technical conditions we believe that teams will be chosen:

Samsung - NB30
