WIKIPEDIA ALL DEVICE stuck in a $ 20
One of the largest stores of knowledge in the world, the free encyclopedia Wikipedia, was tucked into a simple little computer that just need a TV to use.
The author's apparatus called Humane Reader, the California computer Braddock Gaskill, says that the device can be useful in developing countries where access to the Internet as few people have televisions but they are widely used.
Gaskill joined a cheap 8-bit computer with a slot for SD memory cards and set up Wikipedia with the ability to search. The result is a portable library which is equivalent to about five thousand books. The device can be equipped with a slot for keyboard, but the user will normally suffice several buttons on the device and a television.
Braddock Gaskill is now seeking partners to promote the project. He said that with the production of not less than ten thousand units of "electronic book Humanitarian year will be priced just $ 20 per unit including a memory card of 2 GB. The inventor plans to sell these devices to nonprofit organizations engaged in humanitarian aid to poor countries.
Gaskell produced its Humane Reader based on the idea that future users of your device does not have Internet access and plans to offer updates that content via memory cards. Instead, the user has WikiReader Internet at home or in office work and can be downloaded to your machine the latest version of the library, save it and then put a card into the slot of electronic book and enjoy reading anywhere like.
