A New York judge rejected the agreement between the seeker and publishing company, which would have allowed the creation of the bibliographic world's largest digital, considering that exploit works protected by copyright

Judge Denny Chin said the creation of a universal digital library would benefit many, but "simply go too far."

He said the agreement reached between Google and representatives of authors and publishers to settle a lawsuit will "give important rights to exploit Google entire books without permission from the owners of copyright."

The alliance would give Google "a significant advantage over competitors," said Chin. He added that having allowed, would be "rewarding him for engaging in unauthorized copying of all works protected by copyright."
