The company E-Ink has launched a new generation of electronic paper, for which forecasts a bright future.

Many analysts expect the current newspapers and books will be replaced over time by the electronic paper. And although for many it is futuristic ideas, companies like E-Ink have sold for several years a form of electronic paper which, among other things, is used for price lists dynamics in supermarkets.
E-Ink has now launched a new generation of electronic paper, called Vizplex, which represents a considerable improvement over previous versions.
In a statement, E-Ink reports that the product will now eight instead of four shades of gray, while the content of the paper will be updated at 740 milliseconds instead of 1200. Similarly, the role will screen brightness 20% higher than the previous.
From 2008 and in partnership with Primeview, E-Ink based TFT panels offer the same technology. Small panels have a diameter of 1.9 to 9.7 inches and are suitable, for example, mobile phones and MP3 players. The previous generation was only available in a six-inch screen.
