Eduardo Galeano's book is a textbook in Bolivian schools

The deputy minister of Bolivia Decolonization, Felix Cardenas, suggested Wednesday that in 2011 the textbooks of schools include the play The Open Veins of Latin America, Uruguayan writer Eduardo Galeano.
As explained by the officer in the First National Meeting of the decolonization process, the content of The Open Veins of Latin America is vital to understand the current process of change in Bolivia.
Regarding the inclusion of other texts such as books based reading, the cultural authority considers it important to work on issues involving the change in education policy.
"Galeano's book, he said, lets have another view, as unstructured colonial history of the region.
Other texts that can be incorporated are several Zavaleta Mercado, who have inspired, for example, Le revolution of 52, said Cardenas.
There are also local authors with various issues related to decolonization, he said.
The Open Veins of Latin America, testing the Uruguayan writer Eduardo Galeano, was published in 1971.
