Cup silver river.

Copa Río de la Plata

Ricardo Aldana Cup, also known as River Plate or Cup Championship Rio de la Plata, was a former international football competition, as a formal, contested between teams of First Division champions Argentina and Uruguay. It played a single match, but in 1941 and from 1945 he decided to do with revenge, reversing the local conditions on each occasion.
The disputed cup was donated by Ricardo C. Aldana, president of the Argentina Football Federation between 1912 and 1914, and the Argentina Football Association in 1918 and 1919. From there comes one of the names by which we know the competition.
Both in 1942 and in 1955, were national finalists, Uruguay and River Plate of Argentina, but, not for revenge disputed meetings, these titles have not been declared officially.
Since 1955, the participating teams refused to dispute it as not commensurate with their respective national timetables. Just put in play again once, in 1998, when Velez Sarsfield beat Nacional in Montevideo, but the trophy was played in pre-season friendly character.
